DOROTHY BRACEY/JANICE JOSEPH MINORITY AND WOMEN NEW SCHOLAR AWARD
The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Affirmative Action Committee is accepting applications for one award to recognize outstanding academic contributions by new minority and female scholars in honor of the first female and racial minority ACJS Presidents. The award will be $1,000.

ACJS MINORITY MENTORSHIP GRANT AWARD
The ACJS Minorities Mentorship Grant Award was created to provide opportunities for mentorship of minority doctoral students or junior faculty by senior criminal justice professors at the same or another institution within the ACJS organization. The goal is to facilitate a mentoring relationship between new or junior faculty and senior faculty to facilitate the former's professional development for a productive criminal justice academic career. The Awardee will receive an award check and a certificate. The Mentee will receive a certificate.
The ACJS Minorities Mentorship Grant Award of $1,000 can be used for expenses of the mentor involved in working with the mentee, such as telephone, postage, travel, honorarium, or other training expenses needed to develop a focused program of mentorship. Applications should be submitted by the mentor with the agreement of a designated mentee who has agreed in writing to be mentored for one year.

Student Scholarship Mini-Grant Travel Awards for People of Color and Women
The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences' Affirmative Action Committee is accepting applications for two mini-grants targeted to racial/ethnic minority and women students for the purpose of promoting the involvement of all minority groups in the Academy. These grants will permit students to attend and present a research paper at the ACJS Annual Meeting in 2025. Each award will be for a maximum of $600. Recipients also receive complimentary two-year ACJS Student membership. Recipients are required to submit receipts to receive reimbursement for their expenses. While a nominee may submit a single paper for multiple awards, a single paper may only be the basis for one ACJS scholarship award in a given year.

KEN PEAK INNOVATIONS IN TEACHING AWARD
The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor criminal justice and criminology faculty members for innovative teaching methods. The goal is to identify, acknowledge, and disseminate innovation in relation to learning and teaching; therefore, the focus of your applications should be clearly evidenced by specific practices that are replicable and effective. Award amount: $3,000 per awardee.

ACJS/Sage JUNIOR FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEACHING AWARD
In recognition of significant promise as a teacher this travel reimbursement award is given to defray expenses in attending the ACJS Professional Development Teaching Workshop and ACJS Annual Meeting. Award recipients are expected to attend the ACJS annual meeting and participate in the ACJS Professional Development Teaching Workshop. Faculty teaching in associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree-granting institutions are encouraged to apply. In order to be reimbursed for hotel expenses, awardee must stay at the Annual Meeting host hotel.
This award, developed in partnership between Sage, ACJS, and participating Sage authors, was created in 2008. Fifteen junior faculty members received Sage Teaching Awards and attended the first teaching workshop during the ACJS 2009 Annual Meeting in Boston.
The 2024/2025 award winners will receive a travel reimbursement scholarship of $700 to participate in the Annual Meeting and to attend the ACJS Teaching Workshop. Up to four (4) awards will be given. The award is funded by an annual donation from Sage as well as from royalties donated by participating Sage authors.

ACJS NATIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE MONTH AWARDS
The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences’ National Criminal Justice Month Committee is accepting nominations for awards in recognition of National Criminal Justice Month events. Three plaques will be awarded to academic departments, schools, colleges, and/or universities for National Criminal Justice Month celebrations that focus on education and community engagement, as well as an overall program of the year award. Efforts will be made to highlight the award winners on the ACJS website as well as in ACJS Today. For more information on National Criminal Justice Month click here.

2025 ACJS STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences’ Student Affairs Committee is accepting nominations for the ACJS Student Scholarship Awards. Two students (one at the Masters level and another at the Ph.D. level) will receive funding in the amount of $600 each to apply towards travel to the annual ACJS conference. The award is to support meritorious scholarship by students (as evidenced by the paper the student will present) and to enable them to present their research at the Annual Meeting. The student need not have the recommendation of a faculty member in order to be considered. Self-nominations are welcome. While a nominee may submit a single paper for multiple awards, a single paper may only be the basis for one ACJS scholarship award in a given year.

The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences’ Student Panel Committee is excited to announce the ACJS Student Panel Presentation Awards. This prestigious award recognizes students' outstanding research and encourages active participation in the ACJS Annual Meeting in Denver 2025.
Award Details:
- First Place: $500
- Second Place: $300
- Third Place: $200
Eligibility Criteria:
- To be eligible for the award, applicants must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program at the time of submission.
- For the ACJS 62nd Annual Meeting in Denver 2025, students should submit their abstracts for student panels on or before the final deadline, October 14, 2024, and present at the Annual Meeting.
- Presentations may have multiple authors, but all authors must be students (no faculty co-authors).
Award Submission Requirements:
- Presentation slides in PPT or PDF format.
- A pre-recorded YouTube (or Zoom) video presentation (10-15 minutes in length) link.

This prestigious award recognizes exceptional student research and encourages active participation in the ACJS Annual Meeting in Denver 2025.
Award Details:
• First Place: $500
• Second Place: $300
• Third Place: $200
Eligibility Criteria:
1. To be eligible for the award, applicants must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program at the time of submission.
2. Posters may have multiple authors and all authors must be students (no faculty co-authors).
3. Participants must submit poster abstracts for the ACJS 62nd Annual Meeting on or before the final deadline, October 14, 2024, and display the poster at the Annual Meeting Research and Pictorial Showcase
4. Participants must submit a YouTube video presentation (3-5 minutes in length) link to the committee chair by the given deadline.
